1. About Us

Timber & Twig is a handcrafted outdoor play kitchen business based in North Wingfield, Derbyshire. We operate through our website at timberandtwig.co.uk. For any enquiries, please contact us at [email protected].

2. Orders and Acceptance

All kitchens are made to order. An order is confirmed when:

• We have received your enquiry or configuration
• We have confirmed the specification and price in writing
• A 50% deposit has been received and cleared

We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. If we are unable to fulfil your order, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.

3. Pricing

All prices shown on our website and configurator are estimates. The final price will be confirmed in writing before your order is placed. Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are not subject to VAT as we are not VAT registered.

We reserve the right to adjust our pricing at any time. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been confirmed and deposited.

4. Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your build date. The remaining balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection. Payment can be made by bank transfer or such other methods as we may agree.

If the balance is not received within 14 days of notification that your kitchen is complete, we reserve the right to cancel the order and retain the deposit to cover materials and labour costs incurred.

5. Lead Times

Lead times are estimates only and may vary depending on order volume and material availability. We will keep you informed of any significant delays. Typical lead times are:

• Classic — 10 to 14 days
• Heritage — 2 to 3 weeks
• Bespoke — 3 to 4 weeks

We cannot be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by delays outside our reasonable control.

6. Cancellations

Once an order is confirmed and a deposit paid, cancellations are subject to the following:

• Cancelled before build has commenced — deposit refunded minus any materials already ordered
• Cancelled after build has commenced — deposit is non-refundable
• Cancelled after completion — full balance remains payable

7. Delivery

All kitchens are delivered fully assembled. Delivery charges will be agreed at the time of order. We deliver to mainland UK. Someone must be available to accept delivery — failed deliveries may incur a redelivery charge.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please inspect your kitchen on arrival and notify us of any damage within 48 hours.

8. Bespoke and Custom Orders

Bespoke kitchens are made entirely to your specification. It is your responsibility to ensure that the dimensions, finish, and features you have requested are correct before confirming your order. We cannot accept returns on bespoke items unless they are materially different from the agreed specification.

9. Warranty and Defects

We use pressure-treated timber throughout. Natural movement, weathering, and variation in grain and colour are inherent characteristics of solid wood and are not defects.

If your kitchen arrives with a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photographs. We will repair or replace at our discretion.

Our kitchens are designed for outdoor use. Normal weathering is expected. We recommend treating painted or oiled surfaces annually to maintain appearance and longevity.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the price paid for that order. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force at the time your order is confirmed are the terms that apply to that order.
